Nope – but they have the right to their opinion like everyone else. Actors running for President don’t impress me either.

No it does not make me want to vote for anyone unless that celebrity makes good sense and does not talk from the side of an elitist snob thinking they know better then ordinary Americans

Why would I care what an actor recommends?
It’s all an act!!!

Really I care that actors "act" well in character.
Other than that, they’re ok. But no more than that.

"Psst, Wanna buy a bridge?" lmao

Not really. But if I already like that candidate and I don’t like the celebrty, it can sometimes make me change my mind. I really could care less what the celebrities think when it comes to politics and I choose to vote based on what I believe is the right candidate.

Actually, the more a celebrity is pushed in front of me touting a candidate, the LESS I want to vote for them.

It truly depends on the whole situation.
I enjoyed listening to Oprah discuss why she endorsed Obama (I enjoyed listening to Mrs. Obama more). In my mind Oprah made a better case for Obama than he made for himself. However i am still a right wing whack job and while I came away with many things to consider i am still supporting candidates on the other side.

Inmost cases celebrities are well known idiots with nothing of substance to contribute to the debate.

The behavior of most Hollywood celebrities would tend make me not trust their judgment. They don’t act like very responsible people in their own lives, how would they know what’s best for us.

vtjames7433 November 29, 2010 at 11:40 pm

Nope. Depending upon how they do it, it could make me no longer wish to support that celebrity’s projects though. Many on the left are so hateful in their commentary that it is near impossible to enjoy their movies, music or what have you.

As soon as I find out who Chuck Norris likes I immediately scratch that candidate off my list.

buzymomuv3boyz November 29, 2010 at 11:40 pm

NO ABSOLUTELY NOT!!celebrities are OK until they open their mouths about politics, then i find they are liberal Nazi’s!!!

It does not influence me, unless the endorses actually gives some reasons for it that make sense to me, but I don’t give that information in any more credence than any other information I get from any other source. I don’t blindly believe what I hear, whether it comes from my neighbor, a celebrity or a news pundit.

They’re entitled to support who they want.

They in no way, shape, or form influence who I should vote for.
