myself: whenever an "entertainment reporter" asks an actor what was his or her favorite movie they were win, they ALWAYS pick the one that is coming out. (Dustin Hoffman- you were in the Graduate, Kramer vs Kramer and Rainman, what was your favorite? I gotta go with Billy Bathgate, blah, blah, blah)truly phony

I live in Las Vegas and Am a frequent guest/preferred customer at the Aladdin soon to be Planet Hollywood casino and get special parking privileges free rooms, free concerts etc because I play there alot. Last week they had a party premiere type hype thing for the new Rocky movie. I only saw Rocky 1 which was good 30 years ago. Anyway they have posters memorabilia etc all over the place there. I probably even got invited to an event or two but sometimes do not check my mail because it goes to another state. I guess Sylvester Stalone owns a portion of the name or place. I know alot of the cocktail waitresses there and we were talking about the movie. She said " I can’t stand that guy or his wife. Last summer they had an area all to themselves at the pool kind of roped off and even though the food and drinks were comped, they had to be signed off. She brought the slip for him to sign probably 50 60 bucks worth of stuff and he ignored her and pointed at a security to sign it. No tip at all. No thank you nothing. Boring perhaps but am answering your question.
And the only time you really see them is when they have a project to promote
their dumb…they wanna make money. but then get mad when the public scrunitize their lives. hypocrites. who cares
your example of dustin hoffman does smack of "in-the-moment" movie promotion, but, celebrities are humans. Do any of us know what fame brings right at this moment? yet most of us want to be successful and make good money etc. I don’t think most celebrities KNOW (just as we don’t) what be famous really means. It is only after you are, that you can’t go to starbucks without the papparrazzi that you truly know what that’s like and I guarantee: NOBODY asks for that…nobody wants that, because even the most blatant attention seekers want privacy sometimes and they just don’t get any. I think that’s sad.
They are without ego of course, lol. Many people do not realize that they work the paparazzi when it’s beneficial to their career.
Obviously that is why they have publicists .
Privacy , when they want it, is different. Some act insensed, angry, and shocked. Come On!!! Hey, play the game if you want the fame or move out of LA. I guarantee that most folks do not give a second glance at them when residing in Idaho, Montana, Colorado etc.
Too many people in Hollywood get attention for no good reason, because of the public.
Sean Penn is not much of a media pig. His work walks the talk.
Chris Walken, Gary Oldman etc are in the same category. It’s about the work as they are "real"actors as opposed to the Tori Spelling Paris Hilton weekly review.
Anthony Hopkins, Duvall, Pacino, Meryl Streep, Clive Owen, Gwyneth, Kate Winslet, Juliette Binoche, Susan Sarandon, Morgan Freeman, Reese W……….and so on. They live in the real world, as opposed to some of the others that crave the attention.
