How again is Rush Limbaugh different than those Hollywood people you hate?

by admin on September 28, 2010

In the sense that he is just a radio host, he is just expressing his opinion, right? Why is that any different than any hollywood celebrity expressing their opinion?
Rush has a Maybach, and a huge house, and makes much money from spouting his opinions…But those Hollywood people are different how?

"Hate" is the very the lind of language that Rush Limbaugh uses. In that sense Rush is the embodiment of what the GOP has become; a bloated party driven by divisiveness, hypocrisy and negativity.

Don’t get me wrong, I am no screaming liberal. I’m a conservative. But there’s nothing conwservative about Rush Limbaugh OR the GOP. Just a bunch of neo-liberal, hate filled propoganda. The Dems love it because Rush is almost as much of a turn-off as Sarah Palin.

He knows what he’s talking about. He’s been doing it for over 20 years. Now if those Hollywood types want to talk to us about acting I might listen.

Because Rush is doing what he is paid to do.He is a radio talk show host.
He is not an actor that plays a part in a movie then spouting off about global warming or whatever.

The difference is that you listen or not to Rush based on his opinions. The reason people hate it when movie stars do it is that people fall in love with an actor or the characters they portray. People identify with the persona projected.
If they come out and seem really opinionated about something you disagree with or in a way that just seems preachy, people feel that their emotional investment in the persona has been betrayed.
That won’t happen with Rush. You either like him or not from the beginning. There are no late surprises.

Global warming or whatever? Whatever? Wow, conservatives really do care about themselves. Rush, like more celebrities, is an entertainer. The right will try to make him seem like an outsider, but he’s not. He has been in the business longer than more current Hollywood actors. As a liberal Democrat, I’m glad that most Hollywood stars share my view. I’m not a consertive that will boycott whoever I disagree with. Kelsey Grammer is a sadly a conservative, but I love Frasier, plus he helped developed some of the best black drama/comedy shows.
