Is anyone else sick of these hollywood celebrities preaching about the environment???

by admin on November 7, 2010

After finding out that Al Gore spends more in one month on his mansion and guest house energy bill than the average American spends in one year on their home, I’m a bit disgusted. And that’s just his home-not to mention his private jet that he travels around in for all of his speaking engagements. And what about Leonardo DiCaprio??? Maybe he should move to a modest home instead of his mansion and save some energy. Sorry-I’m venting…..

I completely agree! I’m so sick of hearing it from them as well. Don’t get me wrong, I think the environment is a very important issue, but when you’re spending is to the extreme like that and you are preaching to the rest of the world-not cool. What we need are people in the field of this study to let us know how things are, not a "moviestar" who is contributing more to the pollution than the average person.

yeah, i’m sick of it too…they are all a bunch of hypocrites. especially when they think driving a hybrid car to the oscars makes up for all of that.

All big shots spends far more energy than a norm middle class person. Most of them have their own planes. It is good to preach about environment but they should set an example before they start this project. You know your action speaks louder than words. Good question

I dont like the Hollywierd crowd either, but they have the right to say what they please. Is it really any different than the politicians or even others who start or say they support a war yet have never ever served in the military and have kids who will never ever have to serve?

Al Gore is a jerk.
But I have to disagree about Leonardo Dicaprio.
He’s really a good actor, and doesn’t seem like a hipocryte.
And what if he has a mansion? It doesn’t mean he’s spending more energy. He might be using enery saving lightbulbs as well, or even Solar Energy. Unless you think he has some kind of nuclear reactor in his backyard.
