This is something that has always puzzled me and I have no clue why rich people would support the Democratic party in vast numbers. It is not education because some Hollywood stars never went to college. It is certainly not money because the Democratic party is known as the party of the common, working person. It is not race because a many celebrities are white. What exactly is it that draws celebrities to this one particular party? Republican celebrities like Jon Voight, Drew Carey, and Chuck Norris are so few in their numbers I could almost name every one of them.

It’s a result of the lives they live. They live lavishly and are completely out of touch with the Average American…thus making them Democrats.

Perhaps because they have more leisure time to ask questions about the world. Probably because they exhibit similar traits.
Probably because Democrats tend to be more Liberal and Acting is considered a Liberal Art.
I think you will find most artists including musicians, Painters, and Photographers tend to be Democrats.
Most actors come from a common, working class background.

Hollywood breeds bleeding heart libs. They make lots of money and are in the limelight. They get more adoration and undeserved self gratification if they espouse beliefs that are liberal.
They fancy themselves as part of the rich elite similar to the way they did the NAZIs. Never mind they got all their money through capitalism not socialism.
The democrat party has always been the party of rich people. They just tell us they care about the common working class.
Hollywood is controlled by liberals, so it’s very rare that they let anyone not part of their club into the fold. Conservative actors do exist, but they tend to stay in the closet for fear of losing their jobs. Look how they treat them.
Democrat liberals and progressives are the most intolerant and biased people in our country. They control the media too, so it makes it easier to cover their real agenda and hatred of honest hard working people.
They are on top of the world with all the money fame and glory. Mix that with being uneducated and thats just what you get. In their mind telling all the less fortunate people what is best for them is the path to perfection. Look at the ridiculous statements made by P Diddy about the past election…he couldnt have sounded anymore racist or retarded. Or staments by Charlie Sheen about how he wants to meet the president and discuss how 9/11 was an inside job!
These celebrities really think they are smarter than the average person!
This is why Democrats and libralism dominate.
They need to just donate money and help people in poor countries and of course. Entertain me!
Most find a "higher than thou" attitude and feeling of entitlements superiority, couple that with the liberal mind-set within the "arts" and walla, instant arrogance, which is a democrat trait. According to John Voight when he was interviewed by Hannity, "there are many more republicans than what meets the eye". His take on that was that republicans in Hollywood normally go along to get along.
After-all, if your jobs depended on people that were liberal, you would probably keep your thoughts to yourself.
Here are a few reasons I can think of — I think 4 is probably the best answer I can come up with.
1.) Peer pressure: That’s how it is, and your new Hollywood friends are always inviting you along to Democratic events and such.
2.) Giving back: Many celebrities started working class and saw that "real people" need help to achieve their dreams — maybe without foodstamps growing up their family would have been hungry. They recognize that government programs set a small ladder out that people can climb up on with talent and luck. Even the rich ones now know a variety of people from different backgrounds.
3.) Related to that, the superwealthy celebrities may feel that they don’t need their wealth protected by laws and would rather see their wealth working for good in the world than accumulating at the top.
4.) It might be hard to support the Republican party because that is the party that typically is against arts funding, against public broadcasting, more inclined to limit expression, usually gets blamed for cutting budgets to public schools that then need to cut their arts/music programs, and often has an anti-gay agenda. Since celebrities are helped by arts funding, support public broadcasting, at risk of being punished for obscenity, probably got their start in a public school arts/music/theater program, and likely have gay friends it would make sense that they tend Democratic.
Most are so into the "paper moon" of it all and the fakery expresses itself in other aspects of daily living and loving behind camera and off camera as well! When they are competing for roles in projects,they like to be seen in the accepted crowd of the elite cocktail and horseshit bunch. That must have been the same way things were in ancient Babylon! The only real and memorable performers that ever were, all maintained integrity of who they really were, and never had to "put on"
Being an actor does not mean you have any sense.. Being a conservative does.
